You know what I love about yoga? Yoga doesn’t care. Yoga doesn’t care what brand of tights you wear or, even if you are wearing tights. Yoga doesn’t care about your ability, nor if it’s your first time to class or you have been coming for years. Yoga doesn’t care about your religion, race, political leanings, sexual preference or gender. Yoga doesn’t care if you know Sanskrit or you use ‘thingy’ type explanations to explain postures you love. Yoga doesn’t care if you jump to the top of you mat, or walk slowly, deliberately like I am in the picture above. Yoga doesn’t care if you are a stay at home caregiver or a executive, whether you ride a bike to lesson your footprint, eat only vegan or love BBQ too, Yoga doesn’t care if you fall over or shake every single second of the class. All yoga cares about is YOU and that you show up to your mat. The best thing about Yoga is the one million modifications and the beautiful space it’s holds. Child’s pose, Corpse pose, or simply come curl up in a ball and breathe. Yoga gives what it is that you need. Fire filled or ease full. Yoga only cares that you decide again, and again to come to your mat 🖤 What a gift to ourselves ✨

It’s -5 right now here in Kelowna BC. Normally my partner and I would be planning an ‘escape from winter’ sort of experience or be leaving on one very shortly around this time of year. It’s been habitual, for the last decade at least... work hard / play hard, repeat. +
What if there is another way? Work H-E-A-R-T-(er) with heart and in that mindset find the kindling which keeps the embers of passion & motivation aglow? What if we focused on cultivation of daily joy, consciousness in gathering with others, rituals which bring family and friends together with intention and lastly, work that is meaningful and inspired? Rather than running and whirling and then abruptly pausing jumping on a plane, breathing for a moment, catching breath, jumping back on a plane and then once again hitting the ground running ?! (Having said that, there is far too much world left for me to stop traveling :) Too much left to do, see and experience.) For a while though, my adventure is going to be the art of flow. Finding passion and intention daily. I’m looking forward to the newness of living more slowly. I’ve rebuilt my website, and am really interested in coming back to the creative table that allows my naturally curious nature to explore the community around me. #LoveBeingHere, has always been an extension of me and I’ve been so blessed over the years to have so many passionate contributors. I’m really interested in allowing the time needed to root. That in itself will be an adventure. If you are interested, check the link in my bio.
