SXSW News: Lizzie Velazques & “A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velazques Story” Documentary set to premiere at SXSW, Austin Texas
There is nothing I like more, nor find more inspiring that witnessing the journey of a fighter. Not the blood guts and glory sort, but the calm quiet and collected personalities that carry with them a dull roar.. you know them when you cross paths.. when I met LIzzie – I sure did.

It’s hard to believe SXSW 2015 is right around the corner and LBH’s Editor Deanna Beaudoin is going to be there.
With masses of people set to arrive into historic Austin Texas for a sneak peak into to worlds most creative and innovative new technology, the best of the best of the years musicians – playing shows in multiple venues.. be sure to check out a LBH favourite the Portland duo, Priory & lastly days of the most enigmatic indie cinema. This is the film festival of film festivals, less the place to be seen – rather this is the place to SEE.

I spend a lot of time on social media. One thing that kept being brought to my attention was the awful cycle of negativity in comments. There could be ten positive comments and then one person says something not so positive. Immediately the previous positive comments turn into attacking the one negative comment. Our hope with the High Road campaign is instead of fighting back with mean words, someone can simply write “See you on the high road.” – Lizzie

We last chatted with Lizzie on behalf of Kidzworld at the Life is Beautiful Festival – as she was speaking in the education exhibit.. six months have passed and Lizzie has HUGE news to share!
