The countdown to Woogie Weekend is officially underway, and the Do LaB can’t wait to head back to their favorite location! Get wet with Bijoulette as they host Woogie Weekend’s whimsical Slip n Slide. While the dancefloors heat up, kick back and relax in a plush interactive, cool-down space. Enjoy an immersive performance experience from Southern California’s Bijoulette, who have dazzled crowds from Costa Rica to Los Angeles with their creative clowning, wonky wardrobe, and stellar stage presence.
Throughout the weekend, inspired live art will evolve before your very eyes from every corner of Oak Canyon Park. The premiere edition of Woogie Weekend features familiar faces and Do ArT Foundation favorites. Mixed-media mastermind Benedigital embraces spirituality through a unique blend of drawing, painting, and digital graphics, while DevNGosha find themselves fueled by modern social and cultural ideology. With a wide variety of unique styles and visions, Anthony Sirios West, Joerael Elliott Aly Kourouma, Hans Warlor Shipwreck, Ngene Mwaura, Douglas Kleinsmith, Solstice Son round out the troupe of passionate and playful Live Painters for the weekend. In addition, festival goers can expand their horizons with mindful morning yoga classes. Whether you’re a beginner perfecting your downward dog or a skilled yogi working on your advanced asanas, Woogie Weekend has a yoga class just for you. Handpicked from a rich pool of talent, Woogie Weekend’s expert instructors will loosen your limbs in no time. A practitioner for the past decade, yogi Gianna DeFlice is no stranger to festival life – having crafted LIB’s 2012 yoga lineup. Joining her are Lightning in a Bottle favorites Kishan Shah, who blends ancient Eastern and modern Western styles, Shawni, and NYC based Tony Guliano, founder of the Meditate Study Practice program. ABOUT WOOGIE WEEKEND
Returning to Lightning in a Bottle’s 2010-2012 venue, Do LaB’s newest festival incarnation, Woogie Weekend, takes place July 17-19, 2015 and is conveniently located in Orange County, between Los Angeles and San Diego at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA. Promising a weekend full of wonder and world-class talent, the festival features over 30 acts dedicated to house music and all its iterations across two stages, including Danny Daze, Henry Saiz, Moon Boots, J.
