30 Day Cleanse: Working Late, again.
DAY 7
Finally home on a Friday night after a long work week. And tonight there is no glass of wine… so what am I going to do?
Spend the night making a lovely, healthy dinner and then cuddle up to watch a movie. As someone who often works long hours, it’s rare I get home by 7 on a weeknight. Flipping on the TV is a bit of a luxury in my home, as I’m usually glued to the computer or attempting to squeeze in a workout before bed.
Tips & Tricks
It really takes a lot of commitment and work to eat healthy, so I’ve spent a lot of time in the kitchen preparing foods. You can’t run out of the staples like Avocado (one of the most satisfying foods on the cleanse) or easy to snack-on veggies like cauliflower, carrots, celery and snap peas. I always keep an apple in my purse, in case I’m caught without a prepared meal. Then at least I’ve got the apple to distract me from the goodies behind the Starbucks counter.
Tonight I made a salad without lettuce. It was actually really fun! I was inspired by a girl on Instagram that has an incredible feed of plates with color. Make it fun looking? It’s more fun to eat! Tonight was a salad with yellow peppers, cucumber, avocado, shredded beets and zucchini and a chicken breast. Finished it up with a simple dressing of olive oil, tahini paste, lemon juice and garlic. Delish! Going to have a baked apple sprinkled with cinnamon powder for desert. Take that wine!!
